2. Information we collect

When you use the feedback form, we collect your name, email address, current audiobook player, feedback, beta-testing preference and consent status. When you request product updates, we collect your email address and consent status. Our hosting provider also processes technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser information and security events to deliver and protect the website.

We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information. Please do not include it in free-text fields.

3. Why and on what basis we process it

  • To review and respond to feedback and feature suggestions.
  • To contact you about public testing if you expressly request this.
  • To send product and release updates if you subscribe.
  • To operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.

Where the GDPR applies, processing based on your choices is carried out with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)); website security and operation are based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). You can withdraw consent at any time for future processing.

4. Hosting and recipients

This website uses Cloudflare Pages, Pages Functions and Cloudflare Email Service. Cloudflare processes technical request data and delivers completed feedback forms to our internal email inbox. In doing so, Cloudflare may process information on our behalf and through its global network. Personal information may therefore be processed outside Australia or your country of residence. We do not sell personal information or disclose it to third parties for their own advertising.

Other service providers receive information only where necessary to provide a service you request.

5. Retention

Submitted feedback is stored in our email inbox only while it is useful for evaluating and developing Audio Novellum or responding to you, and is then deleted or anonymised. Beta-testing and update contact details are kept until you withdraw consent, unsubscribe, or the relevant programme ends. Technical logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s operational and security settings. Legal retention duties may require us to keep limited records for longer.

6. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website. Your language and light/dark theme preferences are stored locally in your browser. These values do not identify you and are not sent to us merely by being stored.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask for access to or correction of your personal information, request deletion or restriction, object to processing, request portability, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or, where applicable, your local data protection authority.

Send requests or complaints to contact@audionovellum.com. We may need to verify your identity. We will investigate privacy complaints and respond within a reasonable period.

8. Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We may update this policy when our website, providers or legal obligations change; the current version will remain available here.
